Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou and Partners

Though we will now operate as one entity, you will still rely on the same personal working relationships you have held in the past, since all lawyers, paralegals, other employees and technical counselors have joined the new Firm. The new Firm’s premises and all contact details will also remain the same.

Indeed, the new entity will continue on the basis of the same values, ethics and philosophy which led the two practices to accomplish excellent results in the IP sector, in their 20-year history of working together, establishing a reputation for excellence by providing sophisticated legal and business solutions in the IP sector.

The managing partner of the new Firm will be Dr. Helen G. Papaconstantinou and the other four partners will be: Eva Yazitzoglou, Miranta Theodoridou, Maria Athanassiadou and Fotini Kardiopoulis.

This move, adjusting the practice to the modern standards of the legal profession, aims at increasing the depth and breadth of services to our international superb client base and to fully secure the needs of our clients with portfolios of various IP rights.

We are committed to continue working hard to deliver high quality tailored expert services in the IP sector and look forward to exploring opportunities to provide you with additional value in new areas.

You will hear much more about our new Law Firm in the very near future, especially in connection to logistics, but we wanted to communicate this information to you from the outset of this new endeavor.

The reception

The Firm's staff includes 15 fully qualified Attorneys with considerable experience in intellectual property matters over many years of practice and 40 highly specialized technical counsellors-patent translators. Three of the Firm’s Attorneys are European Patent Attorneys and one has been admitted to the Hamburg (Germany) Bar Association. Most of the firm's Attorneys are members of various national and international professional bodies.

The Firm is able to serve its foreign clients in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The Firm collaborates closely with 40 technical counsellors who have accredited degrees (the majority including post-graduate studies as well) in sciences, (e.g. physics, chemistry/biochemistry, biology and electrical/electronic, chemical and mechanical engineering). Most of them are or have been involved in academic research. They are competent translators for English, French and German and provide consulting services based on their technical expertise in patent matters.

The Firm's client base covers a very broad spectrum. Its clients range from the trademark and patent departments of large and small international companies directly represented by the Firm, through to multi-national and small companies represented by the Firm indirectly through trademark and patent agents from all over the world. In addition to its intellectual property activities in Greece, the Firm maintains a close collaboration with outstanding Law Offices in Cyprus and the Arabic countries and has acquired experience in the handling of trademark and patent matters in these countries for many years.

The Firm has always been active in promoting intellectual property matters in Greece and internationally. The senior partner, Dr. Helen Papaconstantinou, has for some years been Secretary General of the EUROPEAN PATENT INSTITUTE and she is currently vice-President of the national Group of AIPPI, member of the Executive Committee of FICPI and Council Member of ECTA.

She, as well as other members of the Firm, makes significant contributions through various associations including International Trademark Association (INTA) and European Community Trade Mark Association (ECTA).
